NEWS! A Major Step Forward!

The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is enormously pleased to announce that the New Alexandrian Library received it Certificate of Occupancy on December 2, 2014. This means we are now ready to do the final walkthrough with the contractor; to begin the process of moving in shelves, furniture, books and artwork; and to think about a grand opening. We want to thank everyone who worked so hard and so long to make this dream a reality, who believed that the ASW could create such a resource for the Magickal Community. This next phase should be very interesting and exciting. Like Initiation, this is actually the beginning of the real work of the Library so let us be about it.

The New Alexandrian Library
A Modern Resource For Metaphysical Communities

A Member Coven of The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel

Once, the Great Library of Alexandria in Egypt served as focal point for esoteric knowledge. This project is working to create a library worthy of its namesake. It will be a contemporary resource for the metaphysical communities.

The New Alexandrian Library will be a modern, state of the art research and reference library. It will provide onsite workstations and other facilities, and is examining housing options for people engaging in long-term research. The NAL resources will act as a magnet that will draw together teachers, authors, and scholars from many paths. Like the original Great Library of Alexandria, the schools of Qabala in medieval Spain, and the flourishing of magick that occurred during the renaissance period in Italy, the diverse confluence of minds and resources would result in great leaps forward in theory and practice. The NAL will be one of the cornerstones of a new magickal renaissance. The benefits for future generations are incalculable.

With the donation of the property, the purchase of the geodesic dome kit, and the acquisition of the needed permits, the New Alexandrian Library is taking shape in the manifest world. Construction has begun on this monumental project, but there is still work to be done to make this dream a reality.

Proceeds from events such as Between the Worlds Interfaith Conference, Climbing the Tree Weekend and Spring Magick go towards funding and completing this project.  If you would like to play an important role in bringing this dream into reality, please consider a monetary donation. The New Alexandrian Library will be located in the sacred woods of Seelie Court in Southern Delaware and will be under the aegis of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, a 501(c)3 organization. All donations to the NAL are tax deductible.
